after a few discussions and arguments, me and my mentor came to a conclusion that I should not take this project forward since sun burn happens in december and i wanted to go and cover it through photography, and then that would be too late for the research project and too early for the design project, then we thought that I could study from the existing resources available and also the second problem was that it just happens once a year so watever i would will be in the those available three days. Then, since I was interested in doing something related to photography or music and also do something related to sun burn. so i thought I ll study the kind of music they play at sun burn that "electronic music". So, I decided to study electronic music scene in Delhi.

2nd Proposal !!:

Main question : To know about Electronic Music scene in Delhi.

sub questions :

- why all of a sudden Indians are adapting to , listening to or liking this genre of music.

- are they influenced by western culture for example. Sun burn has become a rage now and it is mostly visited by people from all over the world.

- has India reached at the same level internationally as far as electronic music is concerned.

What sort of approaches will you employ to collect data for your research enquiry? For Example if you were going to interview students- how many would you interview? What sorts of themes would you is questioning them about?

- interview

music bands

people who listen to this kind of music

club owners

dj's

event managers

promoters

what is the purpose of my research

i thought as a communication designer i would want to promote this genre of music and studying it in detail and it s present scenario in India would help me promote it better.

Electronic music is music that employs electronic musical instruments and electronic music technology in its production.[1] In general a distinction can be made between sound produced using electromechanical means and that produced using electronic technology.[2]Examples of electromechanical sound producing devices include the telharmonium, Hammond organ, and the electric guitar. Purely electronic sound production can be achieved using devices such as the Theremin, sound synthesizer, and computer.[3]

Electronic music was once associated almost exclusively with Western art music but from the late 1960s on the availability of affordable music technology meant that music produced using electronic means became increasingly common in the popular domain.[4] Today electronic music includes many varieties and ranges from experimental art music to popular forms such as electronic dance music.
